Description: Original antique postcard from the "Airship" Series No. 132, humorously titled "An Afternoon's Shopping." The whimsical illustration depicts an early airship transporting shoppers through the sky while smaller advertising balloons float nearby.
Designed in England and printed in Prussia by Misch & Stock. Postmarked May 2, 1905, with a handwritten message and a ½ Penny King Edward VII stamp. An excellent early aviation fantasy postcard from the dawn of the airship era.
Imagine everything this postcard had to survive to finally reach your hands.
