Wonderful group of original antique photographic postcards featuring children and families enjoying seaside and beach outings during the early 20th century.
The highlight of the collection is a fantastic 1920 Seaside, Oregon portrait showing a young child dressed in a sailor-style outfit beside a large life preserver clearly marked:
SEASIDE, ORE. 1920
The remaining photographs feature wonderful period beach scenes, including children wearing early striped bathing suits, children seated on the beach, and a particularly interesting crowded beachfront scene showing numerous bathers and buildings in the background.
These are original vintage photographic postcards — not modern reproductions.
