This striking, Brilliant Era Val Saint Lambert vase is an exceptional example of early 20th-century craftsmanship, showcasing the brilliant"Frankenthal" patternfrom the maker's historic1908 catalogue. Crafted using the meticulousdoublé(cased glass) technique, a layer ofrich amethyst crystalis fused over clear lead crystal and deeply hand-cut to create a stunning, high-contrast optical effect. The top half features an intricatetaille richegeometric arrangement consisting offaceted diamond panels, dense diamond grids (pierreries), and dramaticradiating fan motifsalong the rim that expertly capture and refract light. This elaborate ornamentation is perfectly balanced by the lower portion of the vase, which transitions intosleek, vertical clear flutesthat draw the eye down to a robust,starburst-cut base. Condition is excellent but for a tiny tiny flake on underside of the base.
