The Middletown Plate Company produced many unique, high-quality, or limited-run pieces, including highly ornate, specialized silver-plated hollowware. These pieces are highly collectible due to the numbered limited editions.
PRODUCTION YEARS: Middletown Plate Co. operated primarily between 1864-1899 in Middletown Connecticut. Specializing in Victorian-era silver-plated holloware and britannia metal. Founded by Edward Payne and Henry Bullard, it was incorporated in 1866 and later became part of the International Silver Co. in 1899.
CONDITION: it is in Very Good Antique condition. It has some wear which is synonymous for its 134 year age. It has been cleaned, however, there is a bit of tarnish and/or wear that remains. No breakage, or cracks. NOTE: When photographing there is shadowing. This is not tarnish. It is ready for display.

SIZE: Approximately 12” wide handle to handle, 9” Wide not including handles, 6 1/2” H with lid on. Weight approximately 4 lbs.
