For sale is an original antique tintype photograph showing a dog posed on a carpet.
The back is stamped in red “SEP 11 1883,” which gives this piece an unusually nice documented date. The reverse also bears an “Entire” style label.
The plate measures approximately 3-3/8 x 5 inches. It is in good antique condition with no major bends or creases noted. There are normal scratches, surface wear, edge wear, and age-related handling marks consistent with an original 19th century tintype. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition.
A very appealing and unusual subject, as animal and dog tintypes tend to attract stronger collector interest than common portrait examples.
This listing is for the original tintype shown only. No frame or case is included unless shown in the photos.
Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description and show the exact item you will receive.
