An elusive 1881 Duncan and Sons Shell and Tassel butter dish with original lid which was produced in limit qualities and is in amazingly good condition for being 145 years of age. It is about 6 1/2\" tall to the top of the sheep finial and bottom is x 5 6/8\" across the middle, 7 1/2\" including the handles; x 3 1/4\" tall and has a 3 7/8\" base. There are a couple small chips and a several nips on the underside of the lid\'s rim but no other damage and it weighs 1 lb, 13 ozs unpacked. Local pickup is always welcomed.
