><>As a mining engineer, I subscribed to an excellent industry magazine called Mining Engineering. With the subscription from Oct. 1992 thru Feb. 1993, the magazine also issued 5 mining history postcards, presented here - UNused and Unposted.

-- Oct. 1992 - Photo Date 1927 - Coal miner using hand auger in an underground coal face of Pennsylvania bituminous coal. -- Nov. 1992 - No Photo Date given - Miner prepares to go down shaft in Idaho\'s Coeur d\'Alene mining district - note candlestick lighting underground. -- Dec. 1992 - Photo Date 1888 - Cleanup day at Homestake\'s gold mine stamp mills, Lead City, Dakota Territory. Mills operated 365 days a year. -- Jan. 1993 - Photo Date 1900 - Leadville, Colorado Labor day drilling contest. Hand drilling with steel and a 9-pound sledge hammer. -- Feb. 1993 - Photo Date 1898 - Miners ascend the summit of Chilkoot Pass during the Klondike Gold Rush. This is just the beginning of a 550-mile trek to Dawson City in the Canadian Yukon.

CONDITION UNused & Unposted condition. Items resided in an indoor storage cabinet. There may be some natural color aging in printing. Items May have a bit storage edge or corner wear, marks, or creases. No apparent writing.
Generally, items also May Have some storage edge, spine, or corner wear, a bit of creasing, smudges, slight curving, tags or tape, small tears, minor darkening at top, bottom, or corners, & color rubbing wear - but this may not be apparent to view in 9 photos.
