White Tara is the Tibetan Buddhist goddess of compassion, longevity, and healing, born from Avalokiteshvara's tears. She grants long life, removes obstacles, and fulfills wishes. She bears seven eyes — one on the forehead and one on each palm and sole — symbolizing her constant watch over beings. Seated in vajrasana, her right hand forms varada mudra and her left vitarka mudra holding an utpala lotus.
