Weighing in at 5.09lbs (approx 2.3kg), this is a unique and impressive, large display piece that commands attention. Likely from the world famous region of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The crystal features gorgeous color zoning, traditionally grading from a deep, moody Smoky tone at the termination to a warm golden amber citrine core when backlit. Multiple robust, deep green verdelite tourmaline rods are naturally embedded near the base, with prominent crystals shooting upward into the quartz matrix. The interior of the quartz hosts highly reflective internal fractures that create brilliant, fiery rainbow prism effects when caught by the light. The crystal is firmly anchored on its natural matrix of white, bladed cleavenlandite feldspar and shimmering lepidolite/muscovite mica flakes.
