Collection of 41 original vintage color photographs from an African safari, printed on period AGFA photographic paper.
This is a great intact group of personal safari/travel photography featuring African wildlife and scenery. The photographs appear to have been kept together as one collection and are being sold together.
Subjects throughout the collection include lions, elephants, giraffe, African buffalo, antelope and other wildlife, along with dramatic African landscapes, rocky mountains, watering areas and natural scenery. Several particularly striking photographs show lions photographed at night.
The backs of the photographs have repeating AGFA photographic paper markings. Exact date, photographer and safari location are unknown, so no specific age or location is being represented beyond what can be determined from the photographs themselves.
These are actual vintage photographic prints—not modern reproductions or newly printed copies.
Condition is vintage/pre-owned with normal age and storage wear. Some prints may show fading, discoloration, surface wear, curling or other imperfections consistent with age. Please examine photographs carefully for condition.
You will receive all 41 original photographs from this collection.
A very interesting group for collectors of vintage photography, African wildlife, safari memorabilia, travel photography and natural history.
