Card Tier Guide
Every Affinity Cardworks print sits somewhere on a spectrum from Standard to Premium. Here's what to expect at each tier.
LEAST RARE MOST RARE TIER 01 · STANDARD Gloss Standard Card Thickness 0.4 – 0.5 mm Print Process Laminated Inkjet What to Expect Highest-definition graphics with vivid, saturated color reproduction. Smooth, lightweight, and flexible — our everyday base tier. CONSTRUCTION · BOTTOM TO TOP Card Stock Base Inkjet Print Layer Gloss Lamination (Top Seal) TIER 02 · STANDARD+ Embossed Standard Card Thickness 0.5 – 0.6 mm Print Process Embossed Digital Print What to Expect A robust, sturdy card built on embossed digital printing — the raised, textured ink lays down sharper detail and a noticeably better in-hand feel than a smooth laminate finish. CONSTRUCTION · BOTTOM TO TOP Card Stock Base Embossed Digital Print Layer (Top) TIER 03 · PREMIUM Holo / Glow / Metallic Card Thickness 0.6 – 0.9 mm Print Process Embossed Digital Print + Special Film + Texturizing Varnish What to Expect These cards are built like miniature art boards. You get the same robust, embossed digital printing as Standard+, plus a special film beneath the ink that produces the Glow-in-the-Dark, Spot Holo, Full Holo, or Metallic effect, all sealed under a texturizing glossy varnish on top for a rich, tactile surface. Thickest and most rigid in the lineup, and our rarest chase tier. CONSTRUCTION · BOTTOM TO TOP Card Stock Base Special Film — Holo / Glow / Metallic (Beneath Ink) Embossed Digital Print Layer Texturizing Glossy Varnish (Top Seal) Affinity Cardworks Original, independent fan-art trading cards · Made with ❤ in Michigan
