My First Hess Truck" is labeled for 2020 on the packaging and the truck's license plate reads "HESS 2020," hinting that this may be the first in a collectible series. The toy would also make a good baby shower gift this year.
"My First Hess Truck" is soft and squishy.
Unlike the traditional Hess trucks for older kids, the plush fire engine can be tossed around without much risk to the user or the toy. The battery compartment is screwed shut and sewn onto the body of the truck, accessible through a hook-and-loop fastener so that parents can turn the sound on or off.
The Hess Corporation sold its gas stations in 2014, focusing instead on production. But the tradition of the toy trucks continues, with Hess releasing an annual holiday truck as well as mini trucks and other limited-edition toys throughout the year.
This Hess truck is designed for babies.
