Up for sale is a charming authentic antique French perfume bottle (scent flask) dating to the late 19th century. Beautifully hand-blown in white opaline (milk) glass, the bottle is elegantly decorated with hand-painted dark green stylized leaves accented by rich gilt highlights, while the body is adorned with delicate hand-painted scrolling gold arabesques.
The bottle retains its original ground glass stopper and is fitted with an ornate gilt brass hinged cap, finely decorated with period floral motifs. A delightful example of Belle Époque French craftsmanship, combining elegance with everyday luxury. Whether displayed as part of a perfume bottle collection or used as a decorative vanity accessory, it is a wonderful addition to any collection.
Found at an estate sale in Paris.
The bottle remains in very good antique condition, with light age-related wear to the gilt decoration consistent with over 120 years of age. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the item description.
