Vintage framed commemorative presentation of S. 860 / Public Law 100-186, the 1987 legislation signed by President Ronald Reagan designating John Philip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever” as the National March of the United States.
The display reproduces the enrolled bill format and includes facsimile signatures of President Ronald Reagan and congressional officials, along with the December 11, 1987 approval date.
Professionally framed in a traditional wood frame with gold-tone inner trim and double matting. Acquired from an estate sale in Southern California.
Overall presents very well from the front. Please review photos carefully for condition. There is visible age/staining to the paper backing on the rear of the frame. Signatures are being represented as facsimile/reproduced signatures, not authenticated original autographs.
A unique piece of Americana with crossover appeal for collectors of: Ronald Reagan memorabilia, presidential history, U.S. legislative history, John Philip Sousa, patriotic memorabilia, military/marching band history, and vintage framed documents.
Sold as pictured.
