The book contains 58 pages of scholarly text and 55 high-quality full-page illustrations, including tangkas, Buddhist deities, historical scenes, and sculpture reproductions. The original artworks are held in the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (MAE, Leningrad), collection no. 4698.
