For Sale is an Historic 1969 Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins PSA Type 1 Original Photo! This extraordinary July 16, 1969 NASA photograph captures the Apollo 11 crew on launch day, shortly before beginning one of the most historic journeys in human history. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins emerge in their spacesuits from the crew quarters at Kennedy Space Center, preparing to board the transport vehicle that would carry them to Launch Pad 39A and the waiting Saturn V. One of the astronauts raises a gloved hand toward the crowd as the three men make their way outside, giving the photograph a remarkably human quality despite the enormous significance of what was about to happen.

The original NASA information on the reverse adds exceptional context to the image, identifying the scene at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, and describing the Apollo 11 crew leaving the Manned Spacecraft Operations Building on their way to the launch pad. The caption identifies astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin Jr. and Michael Collins and notes that their Apollo 11 spacecraft would launch at 9:32 A.M. EDT to begin the first crewed lunar landing mission. Four days later, Armstrong and Aldrin would land the Lunar Module Eagle on the Moon while Collins remained in lunar orbit aboard the Command Module Columbia.
