Here is an original October 1965 VINTAGE (serial number is KA) men\'s SCHWINN COLLEGIATE 3-speed road cruiser bicycle with 26\" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing RADIANT COPPERTONE GOLD colored factory paint. This color is awesome and arguably one of the most desirable colors offered by Schwinn in the 60s! If you like UNIQUE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!
*This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, original screen coppertone gold chainguard, gold Schwinn cruiser style S seat, (has a slight lean) Schwinn seat post clamp, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, Schwinn pedals, Schwinn SPRINT derailleur, and more! This one has chrome kickstand, seat post clamp, and fender braces. These are nice factory details only found on the more deluxe bicycles of the time period!
*The tires are 26x1 3/8\". They are vintage Schwinn tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-5 rims front and rear.
*The bike is an original FIVE SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (May need fine tuning adjustment or possible cable replacement) Has the super cool top bar shifter like the famous 5-speed Schwinn Corvette.
*DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 3/4\". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 31 1/2\". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 22\". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2\". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust
*This bike was always well cared for and has not been used a whole lot since new. (See pics and be your own judge) Came from a super clean dry garage where it was displayed and loved!
*NOTED FLAWS I got this one basically just like you see it. I LOVE the fact that this one still wears its original paint! Paint looks quite respectable for its age! (may have some chips scratches etc but has survived better than the vast majority of vintage bike syou see. (see pics and be your own judge) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer.
