Original Vintage 1950s The Alaska Railroad Dining Buffet Car Restaurant Menu Train Railway
The Alaska Railroad was built by the U.S. federal government between 1915 and 1923 to link Seward with Fairbanks, and President Warren Harding drove a golden spike near Nenana on July 15, 1923 to mark its completion. When this menu was in use the roughly 470-mile line was still federally operated, carrying mail, passengers and freight between Seward, Anchorage and Fairbanks, and it underwent a major 1950s rebuilding after post-war disrepair. Ownership passed from the federal government to the State of Alaska in 1985, and the railroad still operates today.
It measures 9.25\" x 6.25\" closed and 12.5\" x 9.25\" open.
