Original pictorial self-wrappers (11 x 8.5 inches), 12 pages, stapled, illustrated in black-and-white. A very rare menu, and ephemeral piece of New York\'s culinary history. Very good condition, with very light wear and soiling, few faint creases.Oscar Tschirky was a Swiss-American restaurateur who was maître d\'hôtel of Delmonico\'s Restaurant and subsequently the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. He was widely known as \"Oscar of the Waldorf,\" due to his 50 year career there, and he published a large cookbook. He is credited with having created the famed Waldorf salad.
