1934 Original Press Photo.Frank Buck's expedition pet, a little Malayan honey bear given the moniker of "Strangler Lewis" because of his jungle decision over "Jim Londos," monkey mascot. The "Strangler" all but became a dainty morsel for a giant python snake when it escaped from a crate and made for the "teddy". Frank Buck was awakened from a siesta by the screech of monkeys and managed to save his favorite pet. "Wild Cargo," RKO Radio Picture, was almost a year in the making, with setting in the Asiatic jungles. The Van Beuren Corporation produced this wild animal picture.
