Up for sale is a beautiful and highly collectible vintage metal wall-mounted match holder, manufactured by the renowned Patent Novelty Company (P.N. Co.) in Fulton, Illinois. This piece likely dates from the 1930s to the 1940s, a golden era for Fulton\'s stamped metal household utility goods.
SUPER RARE NATURAL RAINBOW FINISH:
Unlike the common painted versions of this classic design, this particular piece features a striking, completely natural rainbow iridescent patina. The metal displays gorgeous, vivid shifts of cobalt blue, violet, and golden-amber hues caused by heat-tinting/oxidation over the decades.
CONDITION & CARE:
The match holder has been carefully hand-polished to remove years of loose grime while strictly preserving its incredible aged patina, iridescent sheen, and industrial charm.
* Front/Sides: Outstanding vintage condition with excellent luster and clean embossed \"MATCHES\" lettering.
* Back: Features a crisp, clear stamped circular maker\'s mark reading: \"MNF\'D-BY-P.N. CO. FULTON, ILL. U.S.A.\"
* Interior/Bottom Tray: Displays a touch of honest surface rust consistent with age and real-world kitchen or fireplace use, adding to its authentic farmhouse character.
* Mechanics: Completely solid construction with straight edges, clean viewing slots on the sides, and a perfect top hanging eyelet.
A spectacular, one-of-a-kind addition to any Americana advertising, country store, primitive kitchen, or industrial decor collection.
