Rare Vintage Cigar Band Jose L. Piedra - Special Edition "House of Hulse" - Havana, Cuba. Good vintage condition considering its age.Product Description General Overview:An excellent and rare piece for cigar band collectors (vitolphilists). This collectible cigar band was manufactured by the iconic Cuban brand José L. Piedra (Habana – Cuba) specially for House of Hulse. It features a highly refined design with detailed embossed lithography and gold foil accents, characteristic of the golden era of Cuban cigar bands. Details & Visual History: The Manufacturer (José L. Piedra):Founded in the late 19th century by the Piedra family in the Remedios region of Cuba, this brand is renowned for its rich tobacco-making tradition and for crafting classic Cuban cigars with deep roots and distinctive flavor. Central Shield & House of Hulse:At the center of the band is a lithographed oval showcasing a noble/heraldic coat of arms flanked by the caption "BY HOUSE OF HULSE". The Coat of Arms: Features a quarterly shield divided into four sections combining traditional heraldic motifs: A stylized tree and clusters of grapes in the upper quarters (symbols of abundance, fertility, and heritage). A chalice/goblet and a fleur-de-lis in the lower quarters (associated with nobility, distinction, and lineage).
House of Hulse: The Hulse family (whose baronetcy of Lincoln’s Inn Fields was created in Great Britain in the 18th century) holds a long registered heraldic tradition.
