This compelling piece of ephemera is an original magazine page featuring a striking black and white photograph of "The Tree of Life" monument. Unveiled in Berlin on April 29th, as part of the "Give Me Four Years' Time" exhibit, this monument was a symbol celebrating the promises made by Hitler upon seizing power in 1933. The detailed image captures the bronze sculpture depicting a male and female figure atop a column of children, set in a public space with trees and onlookers. The accompanying text provides significant historical context, explaining the monument's role in Nazi propaganda to bolster Germany's birth rate and promote the idea of "healthy, prospering families." It also mentions a Nazi decree from June 2nd, permitting unmarried mothers to use the title 'Frau'. This page offers a unique glimpse into the social and political landscape of 1930s Germany, making it a valuable historical document for collectors interested in World War II, German history, propaganda, or social studies. The page is numbered '72' at the top right, indicating its origin from a larger publication.
