Rare Vintage Antique Two-Sided Tri-Fold Toronto, Canada Promotional Brochure measures approximately 4" x 8-7/8", folded. One side of the Vintage Brochure is captioned "Toronto, the Tourists' Playground", and contains a collage of photographs highlighting ideas and attractions for visitors to Toronto, including Eglinton Hunt; Sunnyside Beach; Toronto Bay; Toronto Sky Line; Provincial Parliament Bldgs.; Royal Coliseum, Canadian National Exhibition; High Park; Lake Ontario; Humber River; Gooderham Fountain, Exhibition Park; tennis; boating; swimming; polo; golf; zoo, &tc.. The reverse side is a map of Toronto and surrounding Ontario from the eastern end of Lake Ontario to the western end of Lake Erie. A smaller inset map of the City of Toronto is also included. Of particular interest is a key with drive times to Toronto from a few adjacent cities in Ontario and the U.S., with time based on the 25-mile speed limit between cities and towns in the Province of Ontario.
The Rare Vintage Antique Brochure is unmarked, but likely dates to the 1920's or very early 1930's. It was printed in Canada and published for the Toronto Publicity Bureau. It remains in Good Condition for its Considerable Age, with edge wear, minor fold line tears, corner crease and slight trimmed edge along the bottom. Please see accompanying photographs.
