1919 'Open the Prison Door for Political Prisoners' POSTCARD - People's Freedom Union NYCExtremely RARE Christmas themed Postcard made for the People's Freedom Union's Christmas Day march in 1919 up Fifth Avenue in New York City, which was ultimately broken up by the police.The 'People's Freedom Union' was established in 1919 in opposition to the increase of militarism & expansionism after World War I. They also sought to reestablish American civil liberties which were suspended under the Espionage Act, and wanted those who were imprisoned due to the Espionage Act to be released.They shared their NYC premise with the American Civil Liberties Union. From the 'People's Freedom Union' in NYC

(They shared their NYC premise with the American Civil Liberties Union)
Extremely RARE Christmas themed Postcard was made for the People's Freedom Union's Christmas Day march in 1919 up Fifth Avenue in New York City, which was ultimately broken up by the police.
The 'People's Freedom Union' was established in 1919 in opposition to the increase in militarish & expansionism after World War I. They also sought to reestablish American civil liberties which were suspended under the Espionage Act, and wanted those who were imprisoned due to the Espionage Act to be released. They also protested at the White House in 1920, in hope of swaying President Woodrow Wilson to release American political prisoners.
Some notable people involved in the People's Freedom Union were: 
Frances M. Witherspoon, Tracy Dickinson Mygatt, Evans Clark, Elizabeth Gurley Flynn, Lewis Gannett, Harry W. Laidler, Jessica Smith, Norman Thomas, etc...

Condition:
Very RARE / Extremely hard to find 1919 Anti-War / Espionage Act Christmas Postcard is in good condition overall for age/storage
Poscard does have some light edgewear & also some spots / discooration, though mostly on back
Considering its age, I would say it looks very nice
