Original antique photographic postcard featuring a formal studio portrait of a father and his young son, photographed in Odessa, Russian Empire (present-day Ukraine), in 1914.
The photograph depicts an elegantly dressed, mustached gentleman seated in a chair, accompanied by a young boy standing beside him.
The reverse contains handwritten inscriptions in Russian, including the date May 1914 and the family surname Barats (Барац).
A later handwritten inscription appears to identify the subjects as Naum Barats and his son, although the son\'s name has not been conclusively deciphered.
Of particular historical interest is a round ink stamp on the reverse, apparently associated with a Jewish theatrical or cultural society. The partially legible Cyrillic inscription includes wording resembling \"Jewish Stage\" and \"Society\".
The photograph is attributed to the studio of Vladimir Ermans (Вл. Эрманс), a documented photographer active in Odessa in the early 20th century.
