Authentic Pullman Company railroad dining-service creamer, manufactured by Bauscher Brothers of Weiden, Germany. This is the classic early Pullman “Calumet” pattern, featuring the PULLMAN name with black and gold/orange pinstriping.
The underside is clearly marked:
NEW YORK
BAUSCHER BROS.
WEIDEN (Germany)
09
The “09” dates the piece to 1909, making this approximately 117 years old. Bauscher Brothers supplied commercial porcelain to the Pullman Company during the golden age of American railroad travel.
The creamer is in excellent antique condition with strong Pullman lettering and decoration. No chips or cracks are apparent. There is minor expected wear consistent with its age and original railroad service; please see photographs for condition.
A wonderful piece of genuine early railroad history and an especially nice addition to a collection of Pullman memorabilia, railroad china, dining-car ware or railroadiana.
