Original antique stereoscopic photograph from the Russian Empire, circa 1900–1910, depicting a group of four people, probably members of the Rakochi family, in an elegant domestic interior.
The photograph comes from the historical family archive associated with Sergei Petrovich Rakochi, a civil official connected with Krolevets Uyezd, Chernigov Governorate (present-day northern Ukraine).
The composition shows three adults and a young boy seated together on the floor in a beautifully furnished room. The woman rests her head on one hand, while the men and boy pose beside her.
An especially interesting detail is the Diederichs Frères upright piano, manufactured in St. Petersburg, with the maker's name clearly visible.
The interior features decorative wallpaper, parquet flooring, bentwood furniture, framed family portraits, ornamental plants, and period furnishings, providing a fascinating glimpse into private domestic life in Imperial Russia.
This is a different pose from another stereoview in the same archive, showing the same group of people in the same room.
