BACKGROUND RECITED IN THE DOCUMENT:

The indenture recites the will of George Young, late of Trowbridge, aforesaid Bondmaker, whose will bearing date the 10th day of November 1869 devised and bequeathed the residue of his real and personal estate, after payment of debts, funeral and testamentary expenses, unto Henry Clark and Stephen Young as Trustees. George Young died 8th March 1873, survived by his widow Jane Young and four children: Charles, John, Frank, and William Richard Young.

The document traces the subsequent deaths of the original trustees and executors — Stephen Young, John Thomas, and Bartholomew Thomas — and the successive appointments of replacement trustees, culminating in this Release executed by the surviving beneficiaries and trustees.

The total sum recited in the settlement amounts to £1,179 4s. 4d., with each of the four Young sons receiving £479 8s. 7d.

This indenture formally releases Emma Thomas, William Herbert Green, and Charles Young (as trustees) from all claims relating to the estate of George Young deceased.
