An Late 1800's Statue of the New Haven (similar pose seen on E bay) Fronteirsman is sitting on what appears to be a tree stump getting ready to write a letter, look at a map, or read. No missing parts. A very heavy piece. Other than dusting, this statue has not been cleaned. It has a bronze looking finish to it. We tested it with a magnet and it does not respond to magnetism: However, when I tapped it with my ring it has a ping sound to it and not a dull sound which leads me to believe it may actually be bronze, since bronze usually does not respond to a magnet. This was inherited from the family who purchased it. The lady's mother passed it down to her. I have an 1893 New Haven Clock and I was told they were purchased around the same time. Slush Metal or later on Die Cast -Refer to pictures for ageing and wear. Buyer pays postage of $25.00. PS - This is the 1893 New Heaven clock which I have - These two items was brought the same time back in 1893 - Statue is for sale, Not the clock - Clock does not work -
