We believe this to be the most realistic wall crucifix available. We created this crucifix after failing to find one that accurately depicts the brutal suffering and love of Jesus Christ, taking into account all available evidence regarding his crucifixion - Sacred Scripture, modern research, contemporary accounts, visionaries such as Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich, Bl. Josefa Menendez, and Ven. Mary Agreda, stigmatists throughout history, and, of course, the Shroud of Turin.100% of proceeds support the nonprofit organization Christ Crucified, whose mission is to make Christ known and loved through the Passion.
Unique features you likely won't find on any other crucifix include:
• Scourge marks and wounds are sculpted into the corpus, not merely painted;• “Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews” is fully written out in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek, as conveyed in Sacred Scripture;• The thorns are very sharp!;• Sculpted in a rugged style for authenticity, unlike the smooth finish of most crucifixes.
Specifications and other features include:
• Cross measures 15"• Corpus/cross ratio is almost 2/3, compared to 1/2 for most crucifixes;• Made of durable poly-stone and resin, painted with antique bronze finish.
