Very Rare and Beautiful "Jade Goat Horn" Ammonite Fossil 13.03 pounds. 5910 grams.
Douvilleicerous, Middle Creataceous, Madagascar. This Ammonite measures 9.75 inches wide (248mm) 8.25 inches high (209mm) and 4.25 inches thick (108mm)
The last picture shows this ammonite with a larger 30+ pound ammonite I also have listed for sale. The ammonite in this listing is the one on the lower right side of that picture.
The stand the ammonite is sitting on I made from a yoga brick. I made a depression in the brick for the ammonite to sit in to. The yoga brick is included with the ammonite.
These Large "Goat Horn" sometimes called "Jade Ammonites" that are "glass like" and dark color are becoming very hard to find. I have priced this one at less then half of what I paid for it over 20 years ago from a fossil shop in Seattle.
I have moved to a retirement home and no longer have room to display fossils.
The shipping cost is the total cost for shipping the package and insurance to cover the cost of the ammonite.
