The product is a rare $100 casino chip from the Cal Neva Lodge in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, dating back to 1962. This collectible item is a piece of history from the United States, specifically from the iconic casino era in the region. The casino first opened in 1927 and was one of Nevada's first legal gambling establishments. During the late 50's, it is rumored that members of the Kennedy family frequented the lodge with claims that JFK used the lodge to carry on with Maryilyn Monroe among others. A 13 year old Judy Garland performed there in 1935. So much history, too bad it closed in 2010. Hopefully there will be plans to refurbish it and open it up as a luxury hotel.
