You can use this kit to replace the non-working, impossible to find, Parker or Burkert solenoid that operates the fan clutch on your LMTV! I have updated this kit so the only part you need to use from your old one is the wire connector. Brown is + Blue is - from the original connector. Port A is used for air supply with the 90 deg fitting. The other straight fitting goes to the unmarked port and goes to the fan. Port P is plugged. It's an hour job at most, very simple. The two mounting screws come with the mounting plate kit. The plate can be used as a template for your new holes for mounting. It actually was cheaper to get that kit and include it than source those oddball thread/length screws on their own. And the plate as a template is a bonus! This is everything you need! The second picture is of one of these installed BEFORE I updated the kit and added ALL the fittings. I have had one in my truck for a while now and it works great.To be clear, you are getting;
- 1x solenoid
- 1x mounting bracket
- 2x mounting screws
- 1x 1/8 NPT plug
- 1x 1/8 NPT to 1/4 tube adapter straight (thread sealer applied)
- 1x 1/8 NPT to 1/4 tube adapter 90 degree (thread sealer applied)
Another big seller has this same thing for sale from their big web store, fully assembled, for a MUCH higher price. They started offering it shortly after I made the video showing an installation & test of the solenoid itself on my LMTV a while back with another persons help that was also looking for a solution to this problem.I had originally listed a few of these kits with some spare parts I had because I needed to make a minimum order to get some of the parts to build one for my truck.
