Antique West African Sahelian North Nigerian Chieftain Ceremonial Brass Staff Head which would be attached to a wooden staff to signify authority. An intricate lost-wax method cast brass heavy piece with characteristic West African swirls and patterns. About 10.5” long and weighs 1 pound, 4 ounces. The sides have holes which may have had beads or tassels attached and perhaps spinning the staff head would then act as a rattle. This is not a tourist piece. Believed to be from the early 20th Century but we’re not sure. In overall good condition. Please see our pictures regarding the condition as well as the dimensions. Will ship promptly. Deerskin round trunk
