Original WWII Japanese Army boots for enlisted men and NCOs, dated Showa 19 (1944).
An unused pair of late-war pigskin leather boots. The soles bear the maker’s mark “亜靴” for Asia Shoe Co., Ltd. (亜細亜製靴株式会社), along with the Showa 19 date and “ロ号” marking.
The sides are perforated with the size marking “11.0,” indicating 11 mon, approximately 26.5 cm—a relatively large size for the period.
The soles feature late-war construction without hobnails. Small U-shaped metal staples are fitted only around the edges of the heels.
