WWII British Indian Army Commanding Officer Family Photo Garlands Raj Bungalow for sale

Portrait of the British Officer & Family in the Field:
- Central Figure: The photograph prominently features the British commanding officer seated front and center. He is dressed in standard-issue tropical khaki drill service dress, featuring short sleeves, buttoned chest pockets, and pristine officer\'s trousers.
- The Garland Presentation: In a rare display of deep cultural respect and military tradition, the officer, his wife, his young daughter, and an elderly female relative are all adorned with large, heavy, traditional celebratory flower garlands (mālas). These were presented to the officer\'s family by his Indian troops, indicating a formal farewell, a major promotion, or a prestigious regimental celebration.
- Command and Respect: The officer sits comfortably at the head of his men, flanked directly by an immaculate honor guard of his own British Indian Army soldiers standing at attention behind him. His relaxed yet commanding posture perfectly captures the unique social dynamic of a British officer integrated into an overseas Indian regiment during the World War II era.
Provenance: This print originates directly from the private family archive of the British officer depicted in the center of the photograph, offering impeccable historical authenticity.
