A beautifully handcrafted Belgian aluminum trench-art keepsake box fashioned from repurposed military equipment and decorated with hand engraving.

The cylindrical box features a domed lid with a locking closure. Hand-engraved floral decoration surrounds the body and lid, while “GUERRE” (French for “war”) and “RITA” are engraved around the rim.

The underside retains the Belgian maker’s mark:

FONSON / BRUX

The piece measures approximately 4.5 cm in diameter × 6.5 cm tall.

Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear and marks. The locking lid remains functional. Please examine all photographs carefully as part of the condition description.

An unusual piece of Belgian military folk art with wonderful display appeal.
