Pattern 1907 SMLE Bayonet manufactured by Wilkinson Sword Company in February of 1919 to finalize WWI British military contracts and mated to a Remington manufactured and marked scabbard. Pommel stamps indicate it was sent to the British colonial Indian Army and likely saw most of its use during WWII in the South-East Asian Theater. This 17" sword bayonet bears "X" bend test stamps and several rack and serial numbers on the wood grips, spine, and pommel. Solid, tight, and strong throughout. Release button functions as intended and the blade draws and sheaths well. 23" long overall.**Save and follow 29 Palmettos for similar items. New listings daily.**
