Fresh from a local estate that had hundreds of radios, this is a vintage 1948 RCA Model 8X682, Mid-century Modern AM/SW tabletop tube radio that is in working condition. The radio is able to receive stations on the AM band once the tubes warm up, but there is a good amount of background hum. I was unable to get reception on the shortwave band, but that is not unusual for my area. All of the dials turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. The body is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, but there is a good amount of paint flaking away on the right side and the white paint is discolored from age and use. The original power cord is in great condition, still flexible. Do not miss out on this opportunity to add this great radio to your collection.
