Stunning, massive vintage Mid-Century Modern ashtray handcrafted from genuine natural red alabaster stone. Made in Italy, circa 1960s/1970s. Weighing in at 8 pounds, this is a heavy, substantial piece.

Polished center basin + rugged, raw-cut live edge exterior.

Rich coral, deep orange, and crimson tones with dark veins. Perfectly as an ashtray or catch-all/vide-poche bowl.

This is from a South Minneapolis estate with interesting music scene-adjacent provenance- if you’d like more context/history, feel free to ask! :)

8" L x 6" W x 2" D

Condition: please examine photos closely- there are natural structural variations and it’s a little tricky to discern what’s natural from what may be wear from use over time.
