Up for sale is a **one-of-a-kind, hand-built Mr. Peanut display**—a striking piece of folk art craftsmanship and a must-have for any serious Mr. Peanut or Planters memorabilia collector. This light-up figure stands proudly on a sturdy base and has a bold vintage look that’s sure to grab attention in any collection or display setting.
* **Mr. Peanut Height on Base:** Approx. 32" tall
* **Base Dimensions:** 25" x 25" square
* **Width of Mr. Peanut (near base):** Approx. 14.5"
* **Weight:** Approx. 25 lbs
* Mr. Peanut appears to be made of **plaster with an outer layer of paper mache**.
* He has a **built-in light bulb in his head**, accessed through a **small hinged door in the back**.
* The **plastic peanut on the front base contains a press switch** that lights the bulb when held down (switch does not stay latched, light turns off when released).
* **The monocle is present** but has detached and will need to be **re-glued or otherwise re-attached**.
* The **hinged back door** that allows access to the bulb will need **replacement screws for the hinges**.
* Structurally solid with a charming handmade appearance.
* Shows expected minor wear and surface imperfections consistent with handmade and possibly vintage pieces.
* **Light functions when switch is pressed**, but the switch does not hold its position.
* Monocle and hinge door need minor repair.
* **Very impressive craftsmanship**—whoever built this did an excellent job with form, proportion, and detail.
* Due to size and weight, **Mr. Peanut will be separated from the base** and each part **shipped separately** for safety during transport.
* I will pack both securely.
* **Local pickup is welcome** if you're in the area and prefer to avoid shipping costs.
**A must-have piece** for die-hard Mr. Peanut collectors or fans of American advertising icons. This handmade display is unlike anything you’ll find again!
**Please ask any questions before offerding.** I’m happy to provide additional photos or info upon request.
