Vintage 1947 illustrated advertising wall calendar featuring dramatic Western and wildlife artwork by illustrator R. H. Polenske and printed by the well-known American advertising calendar publisher Brown & Bigelow of St. Paul.
This calendar was originally produced as a promotional item for M. F. Patterson Dental Supply Co. and includes a series of detailed black-and-white illustrations depicting outdoor scenes, wildlife, and Western life. The artwork has a classic pen-and-ink style typical of mid-century outdoor illustration.
The illustrations are highly decorative and many collectors seek these vintage calendars for the artwork itself, as the pages can be framed or displayed in rustic, cabin, or Western-style interiors.
