Vintage 12 pc MEXICAN FOLK ART Nativity Set HANDMADE TERRACOTTA Lg Size Figures/Gold
These figurines are a central part of any Nativity Scene/Creche
The figure of Mary is possibly the most beautiful Nativity Mary I\'ve ever seen- she is surrounded by golden doves on wires around her crowned head. Spectacular.
There is 1 Wise Man missing of the 3, but the rest of the set is complete: Mary, Baby Jesus, and Joseph plus 2 Wise Men, 1 Angel, I Flower Girl, 1 Drummer Boy + 2 lambs, 1 donkey, and 1 cow. Twelve pieces total.
Sizes:
Tallest King is 8\" high including his crown. Other figures are similar sized. Baby Jesus is 4\" x 2.5\"
Color is unusual for the typical Mexican set- the figures are a rich, jewel toned deep BURGUNDY RED with glimmering gold gilded painted details and accents
Details on the faces and bodies are superb- the expressions on their faces are wonderful and the tiny painted detailing is beautiful. They are all in lifelike poses.
They have dimensional details on their clothing and some are carrying special items [basket of flowers, gourd drum, wise men\'s gifts etc]
You can see by turning these figurines over and looking at the undersides that they are all formed completely by hand
Some have the original paper HECHO EN MEXICO [Made In Mexico] stickers underneath
In very good condition. Minor condition issues are as follows: Joseph is missing his left arm below the elbow. One of the Kings has a spot below his inner right elbow where his lower arm was reglued on at some point. The glue is only visible when he is turned over, the join is so well done that it\'s not at all visible or feelable otherwise. One lamb has an ear that was re-glued at tip. Donkey has chips on each ear. See last 4 photos for zoom photos of each issue described. Otherwise, no other chips or flakes into the terra cotta on any. No cracks scratches or dullness to paint. Please see all pics & use zoom

Please note the following, dear fellow shopping enthusiasts:
I strive to give you the best service possible. I am not a dealer or professional, just a lifelong collector and enthusiast. I only list items that I think are unique and of good quality. I represent my items as accurately and clearly as I can, and believe it is always better for you to have too much information than not enough! Please ask any questions before offerding, I will happily respond.
Remember, these are vintage items and will have reasonable signs of age and wear which only adds to their personality, appeal and \"funky vintage-ness\". They are not in their original boxes unless noted. I do not excessively clean items or remove age patina, as I want to leave that option for the buyer.
I will promptly ship your item within1 business day and post great positive response for you once payment is received.
Go Green! I try to re-use clean, almost-new shipping boxes when possible.
I will gladly combine shipping on multiple items for you.
