Vintage, never used JB/Bowen Blades WV "Long Sticker" Custom Handcrafted Knife
Up for sale is a rare, custom-made "Long Sticker" knife handcrafted by master knifemaker James "Jim" Bowen of Bowen Blades (West Virginia). Jim, alongside his father Tilton Bowen, earned a legendary reputation among custom cutlery enthusiasts for their exceptional craftsmanship and use of high-grade D2 tool steel.This specific "Long Sticker" profile is a beautifully balanced, sleek piercing and utility blade. It features Jim Bowen's signature clean grind lines, a mirror-polished blade flat, and a highly durable full-tang design secured to a contoured wood handle with three brass rivets.
Markings:The blade ricasso is stamped with the maker's authentic mark: "BOWEN BLADES WV" on one side & "JB" initials on other confirming this is a genuine Jim Bowen shop-made custom piece.
Condition Report:
Blade: Knife has never been used, has original belt grinding scratches, and faint age patina consistent with a vintage custom knife. The edge remains sharp. No deep pitting or heavy rust. Overall length is 12 1/4" & blade length is 7 3/4"
Handle: The wood scales are tight to the tang with no cracks or splits. The brass rivets are secure.
Sheath: Has original leather sheath, not in best condition & has hole & is missing belt loop stitching &, I assume is from humidity as it has been stored in cabin since purchased, but is original to knife.
