a fantastic matching collection pair of Art Deco style airplane accent lamps. Both lamps are beautifully designed to capture the Streamline Moderne and Machine Age spirit of the 1930s, making them an excellent pair for matching nightstands, a home office desk, or an aviation-themed display.Lamp 1: Cobalt Blue "Skyscraper" Torpedo Airplane Lamp• Design: Features a striking, deep cobalt blue ribbed glass fuselage reminiscent of classic skyscraper/torpedo styling. The plane body is cradled by a sleek silver-toned wing and tail frame.
• Lighting Effect: Emits a beautiful, rich blue ambient glow when lit.
• Condition Notes: The blue glass is in excellent condition with no major chips or cracks. The metal frame shows light vintage patina/surface wear consistent with age.
Lamp 2: Silver-Tone DC-3 Airplane Circumnavigating Globe Lamp• Design: Formed in the likeness of a classic twin-engine Douglas DC-3 aircraft soaring above a grid-patterned terrestrial world globe base. Small portholes along the side of the fuselage let points of light shine through.
• Lighting Effect: Provides a warm, localized glow perfect for a desk or bedside nightlight.
• Condition Notes: Fully intact casting with realistic propeller details. The metal finish shows a dark, attractive antiqued patina.
Overall Condition & Functionality• Both lamps have been tested and are in full working condition as shown in the photos.
• Cords and plugs are intact, though as with all vintage electronics, buyer discretion and checking is advised.
• Please review all high-resolution photos carefully as they serve as the definitive visual description of the items' cosmetics, finishes, and minor surface wear.
