Revised Age & History
• Era: Circa 1940s to early 1960s.
• The Woodwork Era: Right after World War II, Japanese factories heavily relied on painting turned wood for novelty exports before mass-market cheap plastics and celluloid completely dominated the late 1960s and 1970s souvenir market.
• Production: The piece is painted with a bright orange lacquer finish. The top features a stenciled or stamped \"Genuine Florida Orange\" graphic, and the underside features hand-painted whimsical facial features. The circular silver foil sticker reading \"Made in Japan\" is identical to those used by export manufacturers during this mid-century period.
