***More treasures from mom\'s house...
Here are two very cool vintage, mid century modern (MCM) wood horse head bookends. Hand carved. Each horse is unique. These are vintage and wood has its own unique characteristics, so they are not perfect (and not intended to be). Please remember that when offerding/buying and look at all pictures carefully. Both bookends have green felt on the bottoms and both have a price tag from the original store that sold them, Le Page. I\'m not sure where this store was located, but pretty cool to still have that attached. Please see pics for size/dimensions.
These are something my mom purchased years ago in her travels but she can\'t remember where. She says it was just too long ago (she\'s in her 80s). But these two sat on the bookcase in my dad\'s office for as long as I can remember. I\'m not sure what type of wood they are carved from but they are really cool looking and very unique. Perfect for the horse lover, or someone who just appreciates hand carved items or mid century items. (I was so tempted to keep these because they are just so neat and have such a great MCM look. But I can\'t keep everything or in another few decades, my kids will be doing the same sorting and selling that I\'m doing right now for my mom! Kidding...okay...no, not kidding...see my next comments).
***My mom has lived in the same house for over 60 years. Over those years, she has accumulated so much stuff. She was also a collector of antiques and collectibles and had an antiques store for many years and also did estate sales. She also traveled a lot throughout her life. Lots of stuff is packed away in boxes and has been for decades. It\'s been quite an adventure (and chore) going through all this stuff so that mom can downsize and move into assisted living.
