Original vintage USAF 80th Fighter-Bomber Squadron “Headhunters” porcelain coffee mug featuring the squadron insignia on one side and the personalized nickname “CHANCE” on the reverse.
Acquired directly from the documented San Antonio, Texas estate of Lt. Col. James M. “Jamie” Denard Jr., USAF. Denard flew the North American F-100 Super Sabre with the 80th Fighter-Bomber Squadron (“Headhunters”) at Itazuke Air Base, Japan, during the late 1950s before later transitioning into F-104 Starfighter assignments and subsequent Vietnam-era service.
The personalized nickname “CHANCE” is particularly noteworthy, as the same nickname also appears hand-painted on the rear of Denard’s named USAF P-4A flight helmet (“YANKEE GO HOME / CHANCE”), providing a direct connection between two artifacts preserved together within the same documented estate.
The mug features the colorful Headhunters squadron insignia with original gold accent trim at the rim and professionally applied personalized lettering. A classic squadron coffee mug representing the camaraderie and daily life of a Cold War USAF fighter squadron.

Colors remain bright and display very well.
