Vintage Snoopy Figurine / Paperweight – Dijkstra’s Kadoshop Appingedam
Charming vintage Snoopy figurine in the classic lying-down pose. This is the iconic relaxed Snoopy pose created by Charles M. Schulz.
The underside still carries the original gold sticker from Dijkstra’s Kadoshop in Appingedam (Netherlands). This local gift shop was run by the well-known Dijkstra family (including artist Greet Dijkstra-Smit) and the sticker places this piece firmly in the mid-to-late 20th century local retail history of the town.
Material: Solid cast plaster (gypsum), a common material for locally produced and hand-finished figurines sold in Dutch gift shops during the 1960s and 1970s. While official international Peanuts merchandise was usually ceramic or vinyl, many regional kadoshops offered these plaster versions as affordable decorative items or paperweights.
Dimensions:
12.5 cm long × 7.5 cm wide × 8 cm high
(approx. 4.9 × 3.0 × 3.15 inches)
Weight: 265 grams (9.3 oz)
A nice little piece of Peanuts nostalgia with an interesting Dutch local history attached. Perfect for Snoopy collectors, Peanuts fans, or anyone who likes vintage paperweights and small desk ornaments with character.
